Local. The SDK records every dotnet test run to a .xping/ folder in your repo, and xping report reads it back. Free, no account, no network calls.
Cloud. Set an upload-only XPING_APIKEY — generated in app.xping.io — on your dev machines and in CI, and runs upload as they finish to be scored, categorised, and trended across every machine, branch, and CI job. Run xping login to sign in with your own account and the same xping report reads that pooled, scored history back. The CLI is the terminal surface for both sources; app.xping.io stays the shared view for the team.
The key uploads and can't read; your sign-in reads and doesn't upload. That's what lets a whole team contribute runs without sharing a credential — and you can add Cloud later without changing a line of test code.
When you reach your monthly limit, test tracking stops until the next billing cycle. You'll get notifications as you approach your limit, and can purchase additional executions or upgrade your plan any time. Local mode has no execution limit.
Yes — upgrade or downgrade any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
